Amanda’s | 908 Washington Street A, Hoboken

This Argentinian-American eatery has been a staple in town for over 30 years. It’s located in a historic 19th-century brownstone and there’s a cozy fireplace in the library room. Some of the rooms can be rented out if you’re planning to host a holiday party. Brunch and dinner are often accompanied by live music, plus there’s even an early bird dinner special. We especially love the house-made Argentinian empanadas and the Belgian waffles topped with dulce de leche.

The Archer | 176 Newark Avenue, Jersey City

Hot mulled cider is on the menu at The Archer, which is just one of the many delicious drinks created at this excellent cocktail bar. There’s a full dinner menu including multiple dishes made with wild boar. It hosts live music on Wednesdays and Thursdays and there’s a fireplace to keep you cozy.

This remodeled Colonial-era farmhouse in Clifton features a huge bar and multiple dining rooms, including one with a cozy fireplace. With an expansive dinner menu ranging from salads to tacos to short ribs, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The drink menu includes handcrafted cocktails and over 100 bottles of wine.

We love settling in for a drink at Carpe Diem, especially when we’re lucky enough to snag one of the fireside armchairs. It’s an Irish pub with some hearty dishes, like Shepard’s Pie and mushroom soup, to warm you up on cold winter nights. They make a great boozy hot chocolate for some additional cozy winter vibes.
