Mashed Burgers Soft Opens on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair
Montclair has been the epicenter for all kinds of new food spots, from an abundance of coffee shops like Lit Cafe and Bleu Coffee to restaurants featuring cuisines from around the world, like Dhamaal and Nuts + Delights. As an addition to Montclair's ever-growing food scene, signage for Mashed Burgers, a burger and dessert restaurant, recently spotted at 360 Bloomfield Avenue back in December 2024 — the location of the former Poke 360. Now, the restaurant is officially in its soft opening stages as of late March. Read on for more about Mashed Burgers's arrival to 360 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, New Jersey.
What We Know
Mashed Burgers is a New Jersey-based burger joint specializing in smashed burgers, fries, and desserts. This restaurant has locations in Cliffside Park at 652 Anderson Avenue and, as of August 2024, Hoboken at 515 Washington Street. According to the signage spotted at the former Poke 360 in December 2024, we found out that franchise planned to open its third location at 360 Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair. The Mashed Burgers team was originally aiming for January 2025 for its official opening date. The burger spot is now officially in its soft opening stages in Montclair as of March 28th, 2025. A grand opening date will be announced soon, per an Instagram post from the team.

This restaurant, which prides itself on using only high-quality ingredients and providing a curated menu unique to each location, is self-proclaimed as "The Best Smashed Burgers in New Jersey." Mashed Burgers was also named "Best New Restaurant of 2024" by Best of NJ.
The menu, which is Halal-certified, varies by location. The Cliffside Park and Hoboken menus both feature Haagen-Dazs milkshakes, pudding cups, fries, and burgers like the "Mashed," made with sauteed onions, pickles, American cheese, and its signature Mash sauce. However, the Hoboken menu includes features like a chicken section, which includes sandwiches, tenders, and loaded fries as well as churros and soft-served ice cream.
